Learn more about New Braunfels…

New Braunfels is a Texan gem known for river tubing adventures, its vibrant German culture, and the famous Wurstfest. Don’t miss out on visiting Gruene, a charming historic district with the oldest dance hall in Texas. And of course, there’s Schlitterbahn, a legendary water park. But that’s just the beginning – there’s a lot more to this city that’s waiting to be discovered!

The best time to visit New Braunfels really depends on what you’re looking to do. If you’re all about that river life, then summer is your season, specifically around July. It’s the most popular, and busiest, time for tourism in New Braunfels.

If you’re more into festivals and soaking up rich culture (Wurstfest, Dia de Los Muertos, the Annual Tree Lighting, Wein & Saengerfest, and more), then spring and fall are your best bets. The weather is more pleasant during these seasons, making it perfect for exploring the outdoors and doing some shopping in places like the historic district of Gruene.

But don’t rule out the rest of the year! New Braunfels is a great town to visit all year round. So whether you’re planning a summer splash at Schlitterbahn or a cozy winter getaway, there’s always something fun to do in New Braunfels!

New Braunfels is a family-friendly haven packed with activities for kids of all ages! From toddlers to teenagers, everyone will find something fun to do.

You can spend an adventurous day at Landa Park or Fischer Park, both offering a variety of outdoor activities. The McKenna Children’s Museum and New Braunfels Railroad Museum are great places for learning and fun.

For nature lovers, the Natural Bridge Caverns and Wildlife Ranch provide an exciting exploration of Texas’s natural beauty, and Animal World and Snake Farm Zoo (a.k.a “The Snake Farm”) is another exciting spot for animal enthusiasts.

There’s never a dull moment in New Braunfels with a plethora of events, entertainment, and family activities to keep you busy.
